PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO.2 SAMBALPUR
SESSION(2024-25)

NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy), a programme launched by the Ministry of Education aims at consolidating foundational learning in students up to grade 3. KVS has taken effective measures in equipping teachers with necessary teaching learning material, assessment worksheets, etc. to help make learning joyful and all inclusive, thereby strengthening foundational competence amongst children in the age bracket of 3 to 9 years.

Activities conducted in Primary section under NIPUN and LAKSHYA are as follows:-

• Reading with Comprehension.
• Basic Mathematical Operations.
• Learning basic life skills.
• Pre-number concepts Count and understanding the number system.
• Shapes and Spatial Understanding Perform simple computations in her/his own way up to three-digit numbers and apply these to their day to life activities in different contexts
• Play and activity-based pedagogy were implemented.
• Teaching in children’s home languages.
• Tracking children’s learning levels consistently.
• Conduct of meaningful assessments using polls, quizzes, games etc.
