PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Sambalpur is situated near NAC College, Burla in Sambalpur District.

Burla is a small township coming under the sub urban locality of Sambalpur city. It is about 12 kilometers from Sambalpur City.

All other actions are but toil, and all other disciplines merely displays of skill. The sages and seers of India have long proclaimed knowledge as the ultimate means of human emancipation. Since time immemorial, humanity has yearned to be free—from fear and hunger, from inner impurities and destructive tendencies, from moral decline, weakness, helplessness, inferiority, and the burdens of disease and sorrow. The profound wisdom of the Vishnu Purana reminds us that it is through knowledge that one must strive to transcend all suffering. True learning is born of sacrifice and nurtured through discipline and austerity; it is never attained without sincere effort and perseverance. Let us, therefore, walk the path of discipline with unwavering dedication. Let us pursue knowledge with humility, making mindful and ethical use of all resources at our disposal. By harmonizing our food, conduct, and thoughts, we can awaken and nurture the infinite potential bestowed upon us by nature—allowing it to flourish and blossom in the radiant light of wisdom. हम सभी कृष्ण यजुर्वेद के तैत्रीय उपनिषद के इस सूत्र का प्रतिदिन अपने विद्यालयों में प्रातःकालीन प्रार्थना सभा में सस्वरपाठ करते हैं :- ॐ सह नाववतु सह नौ भुनक्तु , सह वीर्यम करवावहै | तेजस्वि नावधीतमत्सु मा विद्विषावहै, ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।। Let us come together to understand the profound message embedded in this guiding principle and strive to embody it in our daily actions. By internalizing its essence, may we perform our duties with purpose and awareness. “Learning through activities, discovery and exploration in a child friendly and child centered manner” has changed the role of teacher. In the new era the teacher has become a guide and the school has become a place which fosters an enabling environment for development of individual competencies. We are "Committed to provide quality education in safe environment through involvement and dedication." We at this KV are striving hard to provide that environment to the students through specially designed activities to help them realize their potential to the fullest extent and contribute usefully and effectively to the community. so that when they pass out, they are not mere literates but educated in the real sense of the term. The vidyalaya provides many platforms which helps the children to come out with many creative ideas in the field of drawing, painting, short stories, poems etc. To inculcate reading habits, class libraries have been introduced in Primary and we are trying our level best to adopt CCE in its true spirit. For the better future of children, parents and teachers must join hands and give a positive feedback so that every child can be an asset to the society. In this context I wish to thank The KVS, our VMC, parents and local community for giving us a wholehearted support in our endeavours without which the task would not have been so easily accomplished.
